We are very proud of our best performance at a thoroughbred auction ever – our results at the 2025 Bloodstock SA August Two-Year-Old Sale were better than ever in all respects.
We enjoyed our highest turnover – selling 11 lots for R1,13-million, at our highest ever average R102,727 per lot sold. This is still some way off the big league, but the important fact is that we are improving year on year, sale on sale. Our commitment to acquiring better quality broodmares is starting to bear fruit, and our offering will just get better.
Thoroughbred breeding is a hard and competitive industry, we’ve invested greatly in mares and stallions knowing that it takes time for an operation like this to mature and run at optimum capacity, but we are pleased with what we have built and continue to build, because our aim is compete with the best. Our progress is evident for all to see, and we are thankful for support and advice received on our journey so far.

Our sales team at the TBA complex handled themselves with pride and distinction and we had more visitors to the Heversham barn than ever before. We value the support received from all our visitors and those who raised a hand to secure our young horses. We hope and trust that they will bring you joy and fun.
Our top sale this was year was a colt by Chimichuri Run who fetched R240,000, sold to Martin Bothma. We also enjoyed support from Peter Racing, Druvnath Damry, Quentin Koekemoer, Stuart Pettigrew, Brumstock, Luca Martini, Fanie Bronkhorst, Azzie Racing and Glen Kotzen – a spread of prominent buyers that also reflects our increasing market prominence.
