Tossed Salad, the gelding exported by Willem Ackerman and Advocate Nigel Riley to compete over the jumps in Europe, will be joining top jumps trainer Louisa Carberry at her base at Senonnes in France.
Carberry, 40, already has her own slice of Grand Steeple history as its most successful female trainer, having won it twice with Docteur de Ballon in 2020 and 2021, and again last year with Gran Diose.
The 40-acre stable allows her to turn horses out daily and suits her style of training horses for a long career, the modus operandi of a lot of French jump trainers.
Tossed Salad is currently in Holland (paddock pics from the holding area), and he will leave for France next week.
