Heversham’s resident stallion Pomodoro (Jet Master) enjoyed his best season since 2017/18 when he finished 15th on the National Sires Log for 2024/5.
Pomodoro ended the season with 35 individual winners from just 90 runners, three stakes wins and R8,307,763 in gross stakes earnings, just a shade behind The United States (13th) and Fire Away (14th).
Pomodoro’s principal performer was Greyville 1900 winner Selukwe, who also finished third in the HWB Durban July. Mount Pilatus and another July runner, Pomodoro’s Jet, were the others to make stake contributions, with multiple winners Princess Hannah, Swiatek and King’s Express best of the rest.
