Heversham-bred Sparkling Jubilee (Oratorio) won her fourth race from 18 starts at Greyville on Monday, 28 April.
The Mike and Mathew de Kock-trained filly was easy to back at 6-1, surprising because she is a 1600m specialist and was one of only two three-time winners in a weak field. A chance ride for Cole Dicken, she had to look for a way through traffic, and won well when the opening appeared.
Sparkling Jubilee was bought as an anniversary gift for Diane De Kock at the National Two-Year-Old Sale in 2021, as Zirconeum happenend to be one of Diane’s favourites, and they liked her daughter as a specimen. Sparkling Jubilee is raced in partnership with Chris Haynes. Zirconeum is presently in foal to Expert Eye, the Acclamation stallion.
