Pomodoro delivers, again!

Pomodoro delivers, again!

Our resident stallion, Pomodoro, has had a wonderful start to 2025, with two winners and eight places from 15 runners up to 11 January.

Pomodoro’s Jet posted a most impressive start-to-finish win in Saturday’s Listed Wolf Power Handicap for Brett and James Crawford. This was his seventh career win from 20 starts and, having improved with maturity, he looks like one capable of winning at higher graded level.

Kabonalesedi won his fifth career start at Kenilworth, fighting on strongly for trainer Eric Sands, also in a 1600m race.

Meanwhile, Mike Miller’s two-year-old filly, Captain’s Envy, finished a close second in the BSA KZN Futurity Plate at Scottsville on Sunday.

The Pomodoro offspring are versatile; they can win early in sprints and train on as miler/stayers, later. He remains one of the best value stallions in the land. Mark him into your mare programme for 2025!
