‘Olivia Twist’: Competition winner

‘Olivia Twist’: Competition winner

Beryl Shuttleworth from Walkerville has won our ‘Name The Filly’ competition. In October we asked our followers, clients and friends to name an orphaned filly by Moofeed out of the Jallad mare Mhlonishwa, for a 7% stake in her racing career.  She will be named ‘Olivia Twist’.

Incidentally, the filly’s sire, Moofeed, had his first winner at Scottsville on Sunday.  Let’s hope that’s a good omen!

Beryl runs a small business making natural supplements for horses, dogs and cats called The Herbal Horse and The Herbal Pet. See www.horseandpethealth.com

We received over 50 entries, thank you all, and we narrowed it down to five names. Then, the names were put to the vote of our social media followers and clients, and by far the most were received for ‘Olivia Twist’, a play on the legendary orphan, Oliver Twist.

Beryl’s prize will be allocated when Olivia Twist is registered and ready to race, congratulations!
