Mount Pilatus (Paul Matchett, Rachel Venniker, headline photo), beat a field of top sprinters, including champion Lucky Lad and highly-rated Pistol Pete, in the Grade 3 New Turf Carriers Merchants over 1160m.
Then, in the R6-million Betway Summer Cup, Joe Soma’s Rule By Force ran a great race in third to Atticus Finch and Purple Pitcher, promising more big runs in future.
Pomodoro is one of only a handful of Jet Master stallions left in South Africa, and represents great value. His offspring continue to win, week in and week out, and he has been a Top 20 stallion on the National Log for eight successive seasons.
