TWO Heversham Park-breds were beaten into second on their respective debut runs recently and we’re looking forward to their next outings as both gave the impression that they’re destined to win more than one race.
Sparkling Jubilee (headline photo, blue silks) is by Oratorio from our resident mare Zirconeum, she was bought as a birthday present by Mike de Kock for his wife, Diane, and Di is excited about her. Sparkling Jubilee, now three, runs in partnership with Chris Haynes and was just touched off on her 1450m debut.
Menelaus (Elusive Fort x Username, blue and white silks below) is a three-year-old gelding who caught the eye in second to Arbitrator in his 1200m debut on the Greyville Polytrack. He is trained by Glen Kotzen and races for a partnership of owners including Dr Manfred Rowher and Rod Mattheyse.
Look out for this promising pair!
