Heversham Park-bred Capulet’s Heart was one of the cheapies at the 2019 BSA National Yearling Sale – picked up for just R50,000 by Nathan Kotzen, and after a few places in KZN she’s found her most suitable home to be Port Elizabeth, where she’s racked up two wins and two places from four starts for her new trainer Cliffie Miller.
Capulet’s Heart won a 1200m Polytrack contest from the widest of draws on Monday, running on gamely for jockey Dennis Schwarz, and on this gutsy performance she can win again.
With this win, Capulet’s Heart has doubled her purchase price in stake earnings and she’s also contributed to our excellent start the the season.
Heversham Park is 33rd on the National Breeders’ Log with earnings of R210650 from only 9 runners, and the highest AEPR (Average Earnings per runner), of the Top 35 breeders.
Not bad for a little stud farm in the South Of Gauteng.
