HEVERSHAM Park-bred two-year-old, Battle Of Alesia (pink silks on photo), was beaten a short head against older horses, second time out and running over 1600m at the Vaal on Thursday, 16 May.
Battle Of Alesia is a colt by the top first-season sire Vercingetorix from Heversham’s mare Fortification (Fort Wood), and Nigel Riley commented: “This is obviously a nick that works. The Paul Peter stable was very happy with this run, he quickened well, ran on strongly. He will win soon.”
