GLEN Kotzen trained Herodotus, raised at Heversham Park, secured his Maiden at Durbanville on 3 October following two good places that started his career.
Herodotus, ridden by Ryan Munger, overcame a wide draw, proving his class as a young horse, mowed down the useful leader Vikram and won going away.
“Now that’s a horse. Feature up next!” tweeted Justin Vermaak of Green Street Bloodstock, who bought the son ofTrippi and Pinkyandthebrain for R170,000 at the 2017 National Two-Year-Old Sale. He’s earned R82,000 in only three starts.
