Heversham Park graduate, Romeo’s Dansa, won her Maiden at second attempt at Borrowdale Park on Sunday, ridden by Wayne Agrella.
She is trained by Debra Swanson, who bought her from us for R60,000 at the 2025 Bloodstock SA August Two-Year-Old Sale.
Romeo’s Dansa is a filly by Jackson out of Dansable, by Dansili.
Swanson said: “She was originally named Sharonhumphrey, but we changed her name to Romeo’s Dansa because one of the gentlemen in the partnership of owners is said to be a bit of a ‘Romeo’. She placed first time out and then won over 1600m, we are very pleased with her.”
Dansable, meanwhile, is still doing very well at the farm. She is due to foal down any day now following her first visit to Gustav Klimt (IRE).
Romeo’s Dansa was Heversham’s third individual winner from four runners this season – our winning strike rate is 75%!
