The Equator, Buffalo Storm Cody arrive in the Cape

The Equator (IRE) and Buffalo Storm Cody have arrived in the Western Cape for their participation at Saturday’s glittering L’Ormarins King’s Plate Day at Kenilworth.

They left Johannesburg on Tuesday morning and were offloaded at the Milnerton Training Centre on Wednesday morning. They will be stabled with Eric Sands, and Paul Peter is already in attendance until trainer Tony Peter jets into Cape Town on Friday. They stretched legs around the Milnerton paddocks, their coats were shiny and Peter reported: “They are in fine fettle, travelled well.”

The Equator will contest Race 5, the Grade2 Antonij Rupert Premier Trophy over 1800m and Buffalo Storm Cody, at MR132 the highest rated horse in the land, will be lining up in Race 7, the Grade 1 World Pool Cape Flying Championship.
