Blindfire wins for Hyperpaint Syndicate

Heversham-bred Willow Magic filly Blindfire, who had shown promise in three career starts, got it right at her fourth attempt with a nice win over 1000m at the Vaal on 15 May, racing in the hands of top work rider, Phelisile Mongqawa.

Blindfire shot comfortably into the lead with 300m to go and won with something in hand.

“The blinkers helped today and she won a nice race for the Hyperpaint guys, who are all involved,” said Marc Peter, assistant trainer to Tony Peter.  His father Dominic is the syndicate nominee.

Peter said that he expects  Blindfire to go on and win more races.

Her dam, Blindfold (Judpot), is a winning half-sister to Grade 1 winner Bull Valley, and she was acquired on a Bloodstock SA online auction as part of Heversham’s drive to upgrade the farm’s broodmare band.
